Happy October!  As usual, our Monday was full!  The kids are writing about their dream car this week and the ideas they have are already cracking me up- velvet seats, wings, light up, and flying!  

We read Coming Distractions today in language arts and completed a fact and opinion chart together. The kids did a really great job.  We are trying to remember that just because we agree with something doesn't mean it's a fact!  New spelling words are also coming home today.  We will be working verb tense in grammar this week. 

We continued to practice multiplication in math today.  Originally, I thought we'd be ready for our test early this week, but I think more likely Thursday or Friday.  

We started reading about the Maya, Aztec, and Inca in social studies.  Before we read, the kids decided if they agreed or disagreed with statements about the empires.  As we read, we are filling in the correct information.  

Seventh grade led Rosary this afternoon, and it was a great way to end this cloudy, rainy day!
